Golf Course Designed By: Davis Love III

Golf Course Brief: The love course is unique, visually striking and fun to play. This traditional Low-country design features generous landing areas, wide open fairways, collection areas around the greens that will test every shot in your short game bag and greens that resemble some of what you might find on Pinehurst #2. The greens consist of many different and connected parts that lead up to a very interesting surface sometimes looking like that of an upside down bowl. The course will challenge the good player, yet provide playability and enjoyment for the average player. The fairways are huge and golfers are encouraged to let the big dog out, but the difficulty comes in your approach to the greens. This we believe is the most player - friendly of the four big-name Barefoot resort designs courses. There are also a number of doglegs and a lot of risk-reward holes...these are numerous...with more than one way to play to the green...there always seems to be a more direct route, yet more hazardous to your score. A very enjoyable play.
